Address Imperfections and Perform Final Cut-ins

What happens here

After the first skim coat has dried, inspect the walls for any remaining holes or minor imperfections that may have become visible. Use quick-dry spackle (like Crawford's Vinyl Spackling Paste) to fill these holes. Allow the spackle to dry. Next, perform all remaining cut-ins around door jambs and windows using a paint brush. If a super crisp line is desired, apply a thin bead of caulk along the tape line, smoothing it with a finger or damp cloth before painting over it. Ensure all cut-ins are completed before applying the second coat to the main wall areas, as touch-ups on a final coat can lead to noticeable flash spots or marks.
