This was just NASTY! Something NEW is Hatching on the Farm today!
What happens here
Once the chicks have fully hatched and dried out in the incubator, carefully transfer them to the prepared brooder coop. Ensure the brooder is at the correct temperature and that fresh chick starter and clean water with rocks are readily available. Chicks can survive 2-3 days on their yolk sac without food or water, mirroring how a mother hen waits for all her eggs to hatch before leaving the nest. This allows for slight variations in hatch times among the clutch. Continue monitoring the chicks, ensuring they are not too hot (scattered) or too cold (bunched).
Goal: Safely move hatched chicks to the brooder and provide essential initial care.
