What happens here
Position the solar energizer onto the ground rod. Connect the red positive wire from the energizer to one of the live (electrified) horizontal strands of the netting. Ensure that the red wire connection is secure and does not touch any non-electrified parts of the netting or any grounded metal objects, as this would short out the fence. Turn on the energizer using the switch on the unit.
Goal: Electrify the poultry netting using the solar energizer.
Tools and materials
- Electric Netting Starkline — The electrified enclosure
- Ground Rod — To support the energizer and complete the electrical circuit
- Pliers — To secure the red positive wire clamp to the netting
- Red Positive Wire Starkline — To carry current from the energizer to the live strands of the netting
