Apply Ledger Flashing and House Wrap

What happens here

Begin by applying a white ledger flashing piece directly over the ra rafter where it connects to the house wall. Ensure it sits flush and covers the joint. Overlap this ledger flashing with Vycor Plus flashing tape, extending it behind the existing house wrap (Tyvek). This two-layer flashing system creates a robust waterproof barrier, preventing water intrusion where the pergola meets the main house structure. The existing house wrap might be old, but it will be covered by new siding.

Goal: Apply a ledger flashing piece over the rafter where it meets the house, followed by Vycor Plus flashing tape behind the house wrap to ensure superior waterproofing.
