Using a T27 Torx bit and a ratchet, carefully unscrew the two bolts that secure the factory strap to the door frame. Once the bolts are removed, detach the factory strap. If your Jeep door has power windows or locks, gently disconnect the attached electrical plug and set it aside, as it will be reconnected later.
