The easy way to install a package of honey bees in a new hive. Poacher on the farm!! Trespassing!
What happens here
The presenter outlines the hive setup. He explains that two stacks of cinder blocks will serve as the hive stand, followed by a screened bottom board. A 10-frame super (brood box) will be placed on top, into which the bees will be introduced. A hive top feeder and a hive cover will then be added. He specifically mentions using 'drawn comb' (pre-built beeswax comb from a previous year's colony) which gives the new bees a significant head start. He shows a dark, drawn comb and reassures that mold on it is harmless, as the bees will clean it.
Goal: Understand and prepare the physical components of the beehive.
