Laying Paver Accent Bands and Field Pavers

The BIGGEST Patio We’ve EVER BUILT!
What happens here
The paver installation begins with the accent bands, which are typically laid first to define the main pattern and provide a starting edge for the field pavers. For this project, a blue 6x13 inch paver is used for the accent band. The crew carefully aligns these pavers along the string lines, ensuring the basket weave pattern is maintained. Once the accent bands are in place, the larger field pavers are laid, filling the main patio areas. A vacuum lifter is utilized to efficiently pick up and place the larger pavers, significantly speeding up the installation process and reducing physical strain. The team works systematically, often laying pavers from one side towards the other, ensuring a consistent pattern and joint alignment.
Goal: This step involves laying the initial paver accent bands, which establish the primary pattern lines, followed by the main field pavers. Specialized tools like a vacuum lifter are used to expedite the process.
