Testing the Woodmaxx skid steer front mount wood chipper

What happens here

The host uses the Stihl electric chainsaw to cut fallen branches into shorter sections that are easier to handle and fit into the chipper's intake. Safety gear, including chainsaw chaps and a face shield/ear protection combo, is worn. Once cut, the branches are fed into the WoodMaxx MX9900SS chipper, which uses its hydraulic auto-feed system to pull the material through the blades. The operator controls the feed speed to prevent overloading the chipper, allowing it to efficiently process the wood into small chips.

Goal: The process of clearing involves cutting fallen tree branches to a manageable size with a chainsaw and then feeding them into the running wood chipper.

tree make sure we have our bar oil in our little steel MSA 140c all that stuff's pouring like jelly today man it was cold last night this is firewood and wood cutting season here for me on the Stony Ridge Farm here's the saw that's all the saw we're going to need for accomplishing this job now let's put our face shield on because we never know when we're working with chainsaws whether something will pop up and pop Us in the face [Music] you can see this machine is a beast you can slow down and or speed up the rate at which it takes wood into the chipper which is super important when you're running bigger stuff and this I think has a 9x9 shoot in other words it will take 9 in logs that is a very big log much much bigger than the other wood chipper we had so I've got a wood chipper it's called a Titan brand wood chipper and that was a PTO driven machine and it was inherently dangerous it's called I call it the Chuck and duck you Chuck it in and it just blast out the other side but what it also did was it broke shear pins all the time so anytime I put anything halfway big or halfway hard in that chipper it would just break a shear pin in other words the PTO shaft would stop and the chipper would stop and it would stop mid cut in other words the log would be jammed up inside the shoot which was not handy at all hope you guys are enjoying this video be sure you hit that like button subscribe to Channel I'd love to have you back here on the Stony Ridge with me
