Testing complaints on Ego's 42" zero turn... .

i am not looking forward to mowing that this is one of those fields that you mow that your skin feels like it's going to be on fire [Music] pop it in stick cool things let's see i heard some of you guys weren't happy with the run time on these ego zero turn lawn mowers i heard some of you guys were complaining that you couldn't cut your full yard with one of these and i thought well we need to test this but we need to take the test to the next level we need to get a brand new series of lawn mowers the same one that you guys would be finding in the stores currently we need to fully charge this thing up and then we need to severely overload it and see if we can get these batteries to shut down the bat the unit the entire unit to just quit or what what's gonna quit on us first what's gonna cave first i still got a usable frame i use that for firewood dude and i got a firewood cover oh crap looks like we got a seat to stick on okay so four bolts nuts bolts whatever one two three and four and they provide you the tools there you go that's kind of nice i don't think i'm ever gonna get it to stick in a boxing so this is kind of cool let me just show you something here are you guys not totally familiar with these 15 amp power required to operate arc 56 volt it actually comes with four of the batteries needed but it's got space for six and here's the thing you'd be like well what good is that well if you have other ego tools every eagle battery runs in this mower so it comes with four in this box but it's the same battery that runs that more is in this one like i can pop this sucker out pop it in oh that battery is dead but that's literally all that takes to run so four batteries will run it they provide it for you stick an extra two in and you got some bonus time these all 10 amp hour batteries what they have with it so i'm not swapping my other eagle batteries like this one which is a seven and a half amp 10 amp hour fully charged everything is 100 go go go okay let's do the initial fire up on this bad boy oh hey this sticker shows you your different mode so you have control this is a sticker but this is what your screen looks like control standard and sport now here's your travel speed you have four options in each mode so if you go control one speed you're creeping you're super slow a lot of control so here's your speeds sport here you're having fun you also control your blade speed right here this is a pretty cool thing so this is a way to conserve battery if you're just going over something and you need a light clipping put your down put her down here but you could go all the way up to turbo here's your bet your each one of your batteries has its own separate temperature reading you also have lights as an option on this so there's a lot of really cool things but let's see oh there we go we're at a hundred percent now let's turn it on takes a minute oh key sorry i had to turn the key on oh all right hit your go button so now right now we've got battery one and two activated i turned the lights on i don't know why i did that i'm in sport mode let's go to well it's going to be a little tight let's go to control mode and let's creep out of here as we creep through the as we go through that one segment let's just see how this works [Music] in a while how quiet it is huh [Applause] all right now this is not nice grass but there shouldn't be nothing that wrecks the blade so this would be a good just let's mow test all right you guys we're gonna let this one run through on live action so you guys can listen to this battery-powered mower run and heavy wet thick tall grass [Applause] [Music] she works [Music] this is today's playground you guys this is the farm i grew up on so oh oh oh she's yelling at me don't believe me stan don't leave me don't yell at me i don't like to be yelled at go do your own thing all right so here's today's playground you guys unmowed never been touched looks like we've got what do we got obstructions here looks like we got a bunch of telephone poles in here so we'll have to work around them we'll try to clean this area up make this front look better hey lucy get this cleaned up let's make the farm look a little bit more respectable from the road try to go through ah we got trees in here i don't want to hit these trees those trees i can harvest up let's just see i don't know how far this mower is gonna go that's part of the test today is we're gonna tackle that crap but we're gonna see how much it will go how far it will go ah geez dan i want to make the farm look nice don't you try picking some stuff up hey we got cows again what when did we get cows we haven't had cows he had to get cows just in the last few days i was just here i was harvesting dirt i had all the fences open i didn't know we had cows good this farm doesn't feel right without cows can't even see what we got going on up in here plenty to do [Music] i am not looking forward to mowing that oh this is going to be this is one of those fields that you mow that your skin feels like it's going to be on fire [Music] [Laughter] so this area that i'm currently mowing is actually the pig pen every year we typically raise pigs but for some reason my uncle's opting not to do that this year but this is where they would go so this area is going to be rougher than the cob underneath all of those weeds [Music] all right guys so you may not have been able to see this but look at this we just hit this piece of rebar ran it right over and this thing has i'm going to leave this on live action in here in case i hit anything else every now and then you may just hear the blades you shut off offhandedly that's if i hit something that's not mowable it's not going to destroy itself kind of like that rebar and watch as i go through here you may see plumes of pollen [Music] and if you watch real close every time you see a poof of pollen go up in the air you'll probably see a float around for just about a second and then it goes and hits me right in the eye because i can barely see right now my allergies are kicking my butt [Applause] [Music] [Applause] everything that you were going to see mode in this video was done on one charge the batteries were never taken out and recharged everything from the farm on has been uh done on one single chart and i run out of room on the farm and so i go out to the boulevard next frontage here we go [Music] i'm also looking for long grass i don't want to go over any grass that's already been mowed once this year and maybe already short i want to really push the run time and to see how long this mower can and can't go and some extreme conditions and that means i need grass that hasn't been yet touched this year [Music] so here's kind of an interesting thing if you look closely you have actually two battery indicators one right down there in between my feet and then the second one right on the control panel and here's something that i've seen while i was making this video and way before i ever started making this video is sometimes as you're driving along you for some reason gain battery i've seen it i've driven it i've done it where you'll be cruising along and you'll have 77 battery power and 5 minutes later you've got 78 battery power and that may be due to the fact that it may start to grab juice from some of the other batteries that aren't being optimized yet but it really just keeps going and going and going [Music] so [Music] and then she walks right out to the car again yeah you you notice she's not bargaining that much [Music] i'm enjoying it somewhere i still got 20 percent i've cut all this she just keeps going for the kind of cutting we're doing she ain't friendly why why do you do the opposite of what i want you to do because you're a hound because that's what you guys do that's what they do whatever they want if you guys own a coonhound tell me how they are like a hound like beagles i think are a lit no no beagles are they're just as stubborn as these things i had a beagle i've had every flipping hound dog you can have and i don't know why oh we no i didn't had a beagle this black and tan coonhound yeah that's the only hot dogs i've had i had a visa and a german shorthair planer those were good dogs all right well let's just keep going [Music] actually this video reminds me that i had the same problem with my eagle push mower not the second video i did where i was just testing it on some really harsh conditions with the first video where i was testing runtime i was testing everything about it and on that push forward i finally gave out after an hour of 56 an hour and 56 minutes of pushing that lawnmower before i said enough is enough this ego zero turn is doing the same thing it just keeps going and going and going and the battery doesn't dead and i need to find out exactly how far this will go before she finally ultimately quits on me but i'm running out of rope [Laughter] are we done yet no all right ten percent that's where we're gonna end this video and let's talk about what we got done we mowed everything inside of the farm all around the pig pen we went further than we were supposed to go inside of the farm then i came out here molded the boulevard started mowing this way and now we mowed all the way up there and we still have a little bit of juice left enough juice that at least will get me home i gotta go down the road take a left go down another gravel road and that should just be about enough juice to get me home safely so i
