Prepping the MEGA MOWER for its toughest fight yet. PT#1

looks like the beavers have been helping up oh shoot there's some holes in here isn't there marble cooler you've never seen one of these all right so here's the dilemma we have i bought a property i call it shangri-la douche and it basically had a cabin that was falling down property hadn't been maintained or touched in 15 maybe even 20 years and i actually don't know what i'm getting into so i got to go in i'm going to just start cutting clearing and seeing what's going on but it's down a steep hill i can't get at it unless i come across the lake or lower something down so i'm going to take a couple weed whips but you see here i think i'm going to grab that uh dr field mower thing that i got earlier this spring i don't know if that's gonna be heavy duty enough for what we want to pull off i'm gonna see if i can get the gravely brush more the walk behind brush brushmore to fire up it's been sitting out here in the weeds for a while you guys may have seen it in the background of some videos let's just see how she does [Music] okay we got a couple spider webs going on here you may want to vacate buddy and your next door neighbor over here he may want to vacate too how do you get this out with one hand like this that's not good i better get some good fuel in her okay so let's take a look at how she runs she's battery start um you can also manually start it this is an attachment machine so this is this is the gravely pro qxt i guess they call it a tractor i don't know but this is the actual brush mower attachment that's for it then we have a blade and then you have a snow thrower which that was the last time we use this and this thing with that is nuts then we've got a power broom then we got a finish mower over here so it comes with a number of different attachments and the and all you got to do really to attach them is is it's right here it's so we have a pto on it we have a key engagement this is specifically for the snow blower so it won't apply here here is your basically forward and reverse forward reverse throt it's got like a motorcycle grip kind of a deal going on here this is your clutch brake oh no this is what the heck is this for what is this for this is not doing anything if you watch it's doing oh this is for the uh snow thrower again so right here i must have the key turned on yeah oh raggy i hope i just turned that on while i was talking and kind of misplaced it let's see if she'll fire up what do you guys think will she fire or not we'll find out right now well let's check out these blades here real quick because this is something you guys always like to see right they're not in good shape we could definitely put a file on them son of a ducks all right now the truth is this little girl was rowing hard and put away wet she's got plenty of fuel let's see how this goes no prime no choke [Music] powered is this gonna be like a powered real wheelbarrow so it'll tip yep it does yeah right here's the tip oh here's your tip yeah okay hmm you'll have it done by next weekend huh i'm hoping to well i'll meet you over at shangri-la douche okay i just gotta grab that chain in my bag okay i'll see you over there i'll meet you at the top eh okay [Music] getting the gravely to the site isn't the problem getting the gravely down the hill is and so frankie and i figure what we're gonna use is a wench hooked up to a battery wrapped to a tree and then we're gonna leave it there so that we can raise it and lower it every single day that we need it we're going to this tree right here right oh shoot there's some holes in here isn't there huh there's some holes yeah so we've got to figure out a way to get the brush cutter down to the bottom of the hill and what we're going to do is use this wench and chain it to a tree and run it off from a battery that way anytime if i want to pull the tractor back up to the top of the hill all i gotta do is go up and activate the winch i'm not depending on a truck and another person to come over and help take and then i need them two lines there that one only goes that uh that one's only that long that black one because that's the one that was bad on my throat that was that's what was wrong why it wouldn't work on my it's just disintegrating wow that's all i need though that's crazy how bad that's corroded hey the horse flies are already better over here can i mowed yeah they're not nearly as bad are we test running it here yeah okay so we got if it is dead i'll just bring my truck right up in here it might be hmm yeah dead battery huh there you go is this a marlboro cooler yeah you plug it in cigarette lighter and it cools it keeps it's got a cooler in it is it new no it's an old satellite i've never seen one of these really i just never seen one that says marlboro on it i didn't know that they had their i got no own branding with coleman you didn't bring your jumpers no i got some in the truck yep we're just going to mow this area right here the spare battery that we thought was charged up well it was it's the wench long story short this wench is not going to work so we're going to end up going with a plan b but we don't know that yet and while frankie's checking the battery connections i go to the bottom and start clearing us a landing pad for the graveling all right let's take a peek at what we're gonna be dealing with down here we're gonna probably leave the hill for now and just concentrate on trying to clear this out down here and it looks like we found an old dock dock section going out to the lake not going to worry about clearing all the way to the beach what i want to do is get the undergrowth team down coming in here looks like it's like the beavers have been helping out sweet [Music] sign otter scat all right guys we're going to do something a little different this week we're actually going to release a video every single day showing you an update on the progress of this project today it was what's the equipment that we're going to bring out there and then how do we actually get the equipment down and into position which is the next challenge because this is such a steep and menacing slope just getting the equipment there is a big part of the project but once we get it there is it actually going to work because the overgrowth where we're where i'm going to be working is so much thicker than what i originally anticipated i really have my doubts and hesitations about using that gravely and if it was even the right choice but then we get into what are we finding once we get down there snakes wasps all sorts of adventures are coming your way guys and every single day this week we're going to bring you along for that ride so it's going to be a thick brush mowing week and i hope you
