Cut and Remove the FlowTite Valve Body
At 1:42 in
SUPER EASY REPLACEMENT OF PLASTIC WATER VALVE ON COPPER PIPE!
What happens here
Position the ratcheting tubing cutter on the FlowTite valve. Locate the O-ring inside the valve body, which is approximately 1/4 to 3/8 inches from the end of the valve where it meets the copper pipe. Align the cutter wheel directly over this O-ring area. Tighten the cutter onto the valve body and begin ratcheting. The cutting action will cleanly separate the plastic valve body from the internal components, allowing the front section of the valve to pop off. Once the front part is removed, slide the remaining plastic pieces off the copper pipe, revealing the internal compression rings.
Goal: Detach the main plastic body of the FlowTite valve
