Score the Vinyl Plank

What happens here

First, place the vinyl flooring plank on a stable surface. Position a metal square (such as a combination square or speed square) along the desired cut line to act as a straight edge. Using a utility knife, apply firm pressure and score the surface of the vinyl plank multiple times along the edge of the metal square. This creates a deep groove that will guide the break.

Goal: Create a defined and precise cut line on the vinyl plank.
