What happens here

The creator introduces the project, showcasing a heavily damaged and sandy driveway that experiences severe flooding and erosion each year due to its 'sugar sand' composition. He explains the need to regravel the private section of the driveway, planning to source suitable material from a nearby farm.

Goal: Understand the need for driveway repair and the planned solution.

Good morning, guys. Got a start of a kind of a new project. You guys may recognize it. It's my driveway going into Shangra Lodge. And every year, we pretty much destroy it cuz we're working here all the time. And this is uh just getting worse and worse. So, you can see how much damage we've got to deal with. This actually fills up with water for about 5 weeks, like plum full. And then areas out there fill up as well. But we're going to regravel from here all the way in. I'm not regraveling the main road. That's actually on the county to do that. But here, this is mine. We are going to fix the main road though. But I'm just not going to uh bother putting new gravel over the top of something that isn't my own. But all of this is going to happen. That's going to be our piece of equipment for today's journey. Problem is, this is a lot of sand. A lot of sand. And you look at it, just a lot of sugar sand. And this stuff washes. But that's what we got up here. It's just sand. So, we're going to see if we can't find some gravel. from across the road. We're going to go over to the farm. We're going to just harvest our own. I'm not going to a gravel pit. We're not going to do anything special. We're going to go across to the farm. We've got 60 acres over across there and we're going to dig into the bank and we're going to see if we can't find something worth using as a top dressing.
