What happens here

This video demonstrates the unique capabilities of the Mecalac MCR-8 compact excavator, showcasing its ability to function both as an excavator and a skid steer. The demonstration includes attaching different implements like buckets and forks, handling heavy pallets of Versa-Lok blocks, and efficiently moving and loading mulch from a pile. The key feature highlighted is the machine's versatility and stability in various modes of operation.

i was in it for i was in it for 20 minutes and i figured it out yeah yeah it doesn't take that much to figure it out it's a little bit of the instructor you know yeah that's it don't break your arms patting yourself on the back body [Music] so these uh all of these mecalac units they'll have this edge here which allows them to hook multiple buckets into each other is my understanding so now we're bringing uh when we head over to the other site we're bringing that bucket and the forks right yep okay well right now he's gonna demonstrate how he can hook one one into the other in the last mekolak video i promised you guys we were bringing this unit over to the brickyard and putting it to the test so let's go there now these are the versalock standard units and each one of those blocks weighs 83 pounds there's 27 of them on a pallet so this right there is 2241 pounds [Music] so just to let you guys know nate is not an operator he is a salesman he's doing the best he can give him some benefit of the doubt these two pallets together weigh 4 482 pounds that back end's not even coming up at all he's got himself he's got himself braced with the front boom arm how high will that lift them pallets without getting the machine out of balance nate back no with the backfill with the back plate down how high will it lift up do you don't want to push it all right because all right let's do it [Music] joe how many pounds has he got on right now okay so what he's going to demonstrate is how well this machine can handle 5 thousand pounds go all right so we got five thousand pounds on it go for it nate let's see what this mecalat can do this is the mekalak mc8 75 horsepower skid loader excavator combination right now i think he's got it in he's got a front blade down i think he's in loader mode how well will that handle that much weight off the side though nate cause you know guys are gonna they're gonna pick it up one side they gotta lift it over a wall [Music] just lifting it up one direction doesn't count you got to be able to move it that's a lot of weight [Music] how far out will she boom before she goes kitty wampus boomer all the way out to the front once nate let's see how it does right over your blade for your stability and then let's try it over the side to the tipping point and then it's like dang i don't know if i want to do that he's like shut up dirt monkey he's actually a salesman he's not an operator but we need to find out what this can and can do let's watch that back end so with that with that blade down he's got a lot of stability for front okay let's see what she does on the side though that's where she's gonna get sketching you know the the guys are gonna try it ooh look at that back end is coming up nate was as nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs with swinging that mecalac with the boom arm fully extended and a big load on it so he boomed it in to the point where he was comfortable and this is where it ended up being so if you guys aren't familiar with the mecalac it is the world's only excavator and skid loader two-in-one machine it will function like both pieces of equipment and the way you switch between the controls is by simply flipping the dial inside of the calf so we're going to go into a pile of mulch just because this is a brand new machine and we don't want to scratch up the bucket for whoever is going to come and actually buy this thing right anytime you are nate [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] getting a mulch there smells good [Applause] foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so [Music] so he actually locks that big skid steer bucket right into the frame of the machine by pushing it right up against the dozer blade or the push blade of the unit so when he goes into a pile of material he can get a better fight on it without putting all the pressure onto the boom arm itself [Music] and then right after i say that of course he doesn't do it and he does the opposite but i'm actually glad he did that because when he used it that way he was putting all of the stress on the hydraulics of the machine when he locks that boom arm into the frame of the machine it takes the hydraulics out of it and sticks the pressure onto the frame of the piece of equipment which is ideally what you want to do [Music] okay so what we're going to do is we're going to lock that bucket this is a mechalak mc8 we're going to lock it right into the frame right there it brings that the boom arm in 130 degrees it tightens the bucket right up to the frame right like that and now he's pushing off the frame of the machine as he goes forward now he can go into dirt whatever we're using mulch we don't scratch up the bucket of the machine because it's brand new and now he can switch and he can boom it just like an excavator so he can use this machine like both an excavator and a skid loader at the same time and it has an offset boom as well it can handle 5 000 pounds of struck weight i don't know if that's the correct term but it can handle 5 000 pounds and carry it all the way around 360 degrees but as we found out earlier that's not fully extended that's close into the frame unit of the machine so he bought two of those [Music] okay [Music] all right you guys well that's gonna call it for today's video we got to see how this thing can handle pal let's take a look at a big thanks goes to nate for demonstrating as best he could appreciate it we know you're not an equipment operator nate so we're not gonna pick on you in this video you are a salesman big thanks bonnie appreciate it thank you if these guys wanted more information should they reach out to you look at a local dealer trenchers plus and we're in burnsville and 952 890 6000 and ask for john and he'll get in touch with us and we'll gladly bring one out to them to you that's if you're in minnesota right yeah but if they just want general information should they reach out to you or someone else specifically just ask john i'm very seldom in the office okay well that's it for this one i hope you guys enjoyed it tried to bring as much information as i possibly could in this video and try to go as detailed as i could because you guys are looking at buying something unique like this i think it helps having as much of that information out there so let me know if you appreciate videos like this and if you want anything else switched up i probably ought to get some of the mulch out of my mouth i got a nice little mulch bath there well all nate was operating but that's all right that's all we got fran this one god bless you guys go get him and we'll catch you on another one
