Snowstorm Showdown: Trucks vs. Frozen Fury!

been since we've had a good storm here in Minnesota holy cow it feels so good to be back in Action link well looks like the storm came in from [Applause] B let's go plow a lot how'd bring go last night I got ditched what yeah took Sam I brought Sam out there so I get him trained in so Tim and I don't have to go out there every time yeah oh so if you you didn't go out at all I kept checking my phone I'm like are they going to call me am I going to be needed what's going on so you went out from when 2 to 11: last night 2 in the in the afternoon till 11:00 p.m. oh so you slept to yep I s yeah oh I got a full night sleep damn go for tonight if we get you know another few inches I bet we're hauling some snow oh nice still in here on the dump truck but that's fine we my buddy's got three roll offs ready to go at any time so what's so tell them the story about our dump truck oh man uh we've been getting burned on it because uh the rear main seal was leaking yeah so we fixed that truck was leak free for like 3 or 4 months it was F nice felt really cool at customers houses with no leaks coming off no leaks no nothing like the real deal the front started leaking and it was just a drip here and there and then it became like a constant drip so we were like all right bring it in fix that then they said all right it's just this little filter clogged up they replaced that and they called this back like a couple days later hey we found this leak on the front seal tore the whole thing down 13 Grand later uh they said yep we should be all good to go had it for a week and then uh the starter went right I don't know that's when the electrical Gremlins took control yep yeah the starter went so now it's a ECM uh went out and now might be due to the ECM being flashed with the file and then it might might have taken out the TCM I don't know what but so now they're trying to get the old ECM file to put into the TCM uh last I heard I think they got cuz basically the engine and the transmission aren't speaking with each other so when you got in there it wasn't shifting cuz it's the eaten auto shift in there and he had the ECM program for a manual transmission I don't know they did or not I guess they don't know but yeah it wasn't linking up with our transmission still not they're that eaten auto shift has been a problem since the day I bought it the very first day I bought it so the eaten auto shift is a [ __ ] that uh you push in the clutch once you put it drive you let out the clutch and the truck does all of the rest of the shifting for you supposedly until you stop then you got to push the clutch down and then when you stop you push the clutch in so it's a bus driver [ __ ] basically is what it is right y except for when we bought it bought that truck brand new right out of the box right from freight liner right off from uh whatever going out to uh North North whatever Canon Falls Canon Falls that freight liner dealer out there worst worst dealer I've ever dealt with we get in there and I'm pushing on that clutch and it's freaking I me you got to have one Hulk leg you got a Popeye leg Yeah Yeah you got a Popeye leg right my dad gets in there he's like yeah this ain't right cuz it's just too stiff we go to the freight liner people and they're looking at it they're like there ain't nothing wrong with it maybe if you weren't so fat you'd be able to do it better and I was you serious I am not joking I am not joking were you fat at the time it wasn't me it was my dad my yeah it was my dad he was you know he had a you know we didn't call it a beer belly we called it a Kake gut you know so and he didn't even drink but uh so you guys haven't ran these plows yet though have you neither one of you I plowed the shop out this morning with the white truck so this plow has never been down and Timmy you've never ran that plow and that plow is brand spanking new as well yep so we got two brand new plows to play with excited to see how it does all right well I am too shall we go in and start playing around we got the church to do and we're going to Salt it when we're done and and uh we're going to have this one wrapped up and then it's then we go out tonight right yep full push tonight full push tonight okay we need oh no it's in what do we need 7 in the Hall that's where my buddy muddy works for oh was that muddy no that wasn't my buddy but that was Craig Pace ah um what do we need s is I don't think we need a certain amount to haul just no I just mean for plowing we H PL get us a better increment more money money and we need it cuz we didn't plow much last year and we didn't have any 7in events last year except for the one time I left town and we bought a lot this summer we bought a lot but we know we know good times are on the horizon so and we dumped some old equipment that probably would have costed us more than these payments are like that Freight Shaker that's costing us an arm and a leg Yeah that's over over how many prob got 40 Grand into that thing since into the freight liner I bet if you put everything together the Box we Reign the Box we uh I'm I think we should just refer to the mechanical that box is already paid for itself well so the mechanical I'd say 30 grand cuz that box was n or 11 or something so who readin the Box besser besser yeah they put the hardox they had to import it from like Sweden or something like that it was right during Co time too best time to do it like 2020 they line the whole then you get that then you get the guys at the pits dropping Boulders from up here not a single gou yeah they do lower it down three foot B that's a that's a operator I don't care what book you're in [ __ ] bucket is as wide as the back of the truck is and they can't like lower it down in there yeah and they try to tip it out but once those three-footer start rolling it's like man yeah the one that gives me is the the the the um put a cushion in the the dump trailers or whatever and they up and then they push your little Hub yes that sucks and then they're like oh sorry oop you signed our liability wave before you came in there we wrecked your equipment darn whoops oh well for the records Tim is not used to this plow he's never plowed anything with an Arctic so this should be fun [Music] so for you guys that aren't familiar with arctic let's just run through what it's capable of doing if you look at that Center mle board it's got distinct lines going up and down those are sections and each one of those sections has the ability to float and Contour to the parking lot to give you as close of a shave as you can get plus the wings can go into containment mode or can get folded all the way back and the plow itself has the ability to angle left or right so every section of this plow floats up and down but now it's Alex's turn to try out his brand new boss dxt this is the stainless steel version let's just see how this first test run goes for him now the boss dxt has a unique trip Edge as well it has a dual action trip Edge the entire mboard will trip but if you hit something short and sweet just The Cutting Edge will trip giving you the two- purpose trip Edge now we went with the stainless steel version because the benefit of that is no rust if we hit something with that blade if we put a dent in it or having forbid we go all the way through it and puncture it we're not going to get a rust hole and yes we have had that happen plus this plow also has down pressure yeah go for it down [Music] w who's going in the skinny part's that who's going in the skinny part whichever well I mean I don't care but is your truck a little smaller than Tim's yeah same size oh exact same size well let let's make Timmy do it yeah we're going to make Timmy do it cuz he's so nervous about his truck cuz he's not not used to this wheelbase it's longer than his Ram was hey Timmy while he cleans this up let's go get that skinny part done Alex you do it like it's nobody's problem but Timmy's going to be a different story see what I put up with for 20 some years it's probably why I'm still in business cuz it makes it there oh God that's gorgeous that is gorgeous I love love the way that plow hits curbs this plow doesn't even thinking about curbs feel a little bit like Austin poers in here told you Austin Powers when he was on that golf cart trying to turn around in the hallway push this down and turn around get the other side do whatever you a the king of curs right there man the king of curbs the thing that makes this plow the most unique out there is the fact that when you hit a curb you don't feel it inside of the truck and the plow itself will just ride up and over taking all of the jar out of the truck and the operator and putting it into the actual plow itself hey a little different with this one isn't it yeah you don't you don't worry so much do you get yeah stamps and uh stuff yeah it does it for you learning how to run curves with it you know y trying to nice and clean you know it's not meant to hit curbs with so yeah so far I like this flow man and especially with your beefed up front end yeah dude carries it nice yeah yeah it's a it's good all the way around but not not like before oh yeah pull it back once I want to see how much it right okay and lift her up that ain't nothing I mean I could measure it with the tape measure if you wanted to get technical probably more than that did you get new shocks in yeah you got new shocks in same shocks as you did you have uh Kramer do it yeah yeah they said we should have put that in in the first place uh we'll just charge you the price of the shocks CU they okay how much was it 225 each 300 bucks or whatever they didn't charge me for the labor time they just charge me for the shocks because they're like oh yeah we should threw that in so oh you want to do it of course Timmy wants to do of course Timmy wants to do it there's never been a question how technical do we get okay where are we at we're at hold on 13 and 3/4 in go for it okay 12 and a qu so you squatted an inch and a half okay that's nice so and then you can see the bump stops in there got plenty of travel yeah I can't get my camera oh yeah crap you [Applause] got all right do it again yeah look at that you're not even close you're not even close sitting right on them oh it was sitting on them over year I went put it on the first time you got to have at least 4 in 5 in of clearance right now okay yeah oh now yeah yeah yeah huh good deal we're done till tonight yep let's go let's go let's go make our plan with the new man I'm letting Alex run my snow PO for me why cuz I've done it for 30 some years and it's not that fun and exciting after you do the same thing for 30 some years even demo in houses you do so many of them there just not as much fun like you you would think going in and knocking down a house like that would be an amazing just fun time it is the first 15 20 times you do it but time 25 2627 it just gets to be loging the tooth what time do you want to start tonight start trying to figure out right now can you see the wheels spinning in this head I got it right it all I thought when we were in the parking lot when we were looking at that truck there had camera different camera views you could get into you remember that or was that just a dream or something oh so probably don't have it what are you talking about camera views so like see different angle like see of your own truck I don't know that it has it though oh well your phone is Arctic Razer back this is brand spanking new brand new this is the new one coming out this year now Arctic does have a their own Mount coming out but they do I do know that they can hook up to Western I I believe Fisher um one other one and then this is the boss uh new dxt and I was very impressed with this one very impressed and that's got to be just grease yeah that's got to be grease anytime you see red you know you better check something out and when it's a brand new plow you could have a loose fitting or a loose hose you know how it goes God bless go get him and we will be back with another
