Simple Toilet Replacement And Quick Fix For Low Toilet Flange!

What happens here

Place a clean towel over the toilet bowl to protect it from scratches while handling the tank. Prepare the new toilet tank by pushing the tank bolts down as far as they can go. Carefully lift the toilet tank and align it with the bolt holes on the toilet bowl. Lower the tank onto the bowl. From underneath the bowl, attach the washers and nuts to the tank bolts. Start them by hand, then use a 1/2 inch nut driver for the sides and Knipex Cobra pliers for the back nuts if space is tight. Tighten securely but avoid overtightening. Use a level to ensure the tank is straight.

Goal: Attach the toilet tank to the new toilet bowl

  • Knipex Cobra Pliers Knipex — Tightening hard-to-reach tank nuts

Put a towel right there. Some of these are sticking out. Some of them are not. You're going to have to push those down as far as you can. Just flip that up down under here and start putting on these nuts. Just have to barely start it. So a half inch nut driver works great on the sides. Not so much on the back. One and a half inch ratcheting box in right here. But if you don't have one, grab a period of little channel locks to cobras, some pinning. That's what I'm doing. That looks pretty.
