Introducing the Schmidt Stratos Salting Unit

What happens here

The Schmidt Stratos salting unit is presented, a piece of equipment designed for salt application. This unit can carry approximately 2,000 gallons of liquid brine and 10.5 tons of dry granular material. It is used for pre-treating, which involves applying liquid brine to pavement before a snowstorm to prevent snow from bonding to the surface, making snow removal easier and reducing the amount of post-storm salt needed. The unit is designed to be a slide-in mount for the back of a tandem or tri-axle truck.
