hey folks that fix it guy here and i'm really thankful that my friends allow me to shoot videos of their house from time to time honestly because it gives me a chance to help somebody out and make some content so join me today as we start looking at a kitchen this is gonna be a fresh look at a brand new cabinet and countertop setup and this is the first look in the cabinet and i wanted to make a fix before we got started so come along let's get to fix it [Music] all right so this is the first thing we're looking at here this is going to be a brand new sink install for remodel right this is the first thing that we've noticed when we roll up and i actually want to cover this wall in before i begin because it's going to get a little drafty yes this plumbing does look pretty decent but you also you just don't want it exposed right and so we're gonna start out fresh we're gonna put a piece of sheetrock there and then we'll go from there let's just take a quick little measurement by 14 all right and then we'll cut out for this hole this hole and this hole and i think we'll run this garbage disposal wire through that drain hole but hey for 19 check this out if you just keep your finger right here on this edge and you kind of get this it's going to be not a 100 but if you keep that straight all right that's pretty straight my jacket wasn't in the way i could have went the whole way to the floor with that not bad as long as the your edges are straight this is going to be a pretty simple thing to just kind of take this follow it down you can't really see what i'm doing right there right kind of jacked it up a little bit for the most part it's straight straight there straight there and this is our piece 19 by 14. okay so to make our measurements all we're going to do center of the pipe this way get your measurement for the center of the pipe that way we're going to make an x and then we're going to drill okay so pretty much six from this side and then two and three quarters from the top i'm gonna put us right there and three quarter from the top right right there right there the drain is five down by nine across right and that's our three holes that we need to drill so to cut those holes we use this milwaukee hole saw kit i mean this cuts through a variety of different kind of material right and it just cuts through the drywall like butter these things are awesome they really are very nice i'll do a tool review at some point on this because it really is a nice quality tool that you know if you're going to be doing any diy remodel type stuff you're going to want a hole saw kit all right so now we've got this cut you just want to make sure like which side is which i'm pretty sure this is the side i marked up right so it should be really like six from the edge to the center of that hole which it is we're close enough right and so here we go now it's just trying to put this in place and then get it screwed up screw it in i should say i don't know about screwing it up before we do anything else we had to get that through the hole make sure that's out of there or else that's not getting installed this goes right there this is right there okay before we do that i think we have to get this back in here a little bit [Music] and then that just slides right in there like so [Music] we're getting there [Music] okay well that's it's so close at this point we just need to didn't really account for the way that this thing will go in here all right so yeah did not really account for that let's uh [Music] do ourselves a favor let's just let's just notch the bottom of this right here out a little bit for this wire and that way get that out of our hair in it shouldn't be an issue [Music] okay bam there we go we're only able to secure this on three sides so bam bam bam bam we're gonna be able to put four screws in this we'll go here here over there and over there and that just is going to look much much better right okay and so now we'll just put some flanges on it before we get started this is just going to cover up those holes and now i can actually begin hooking up everything right at some point go ahead and tape and mud the stuff right here and be all hooked up all right so this is the first video of several videos coming out doing the work underneath this kitchen sink right there was a lot of work to be done underneath there i think you guys will really like it i got a kitchen faucet i got hooking up some angle stops we ended up having to solder because i couldn't find any compression ones in two different stores it's so crazy but it worked out it actually is really awesome and i'm glad that i get to show that a little bit too right and then um hooking up the drain i did glue trap this time so it'll be pretty nice and then there was something wonky with the dishwasher so at some point we'll do a little dishwasher hookup as well all right i really hope you folks are enjoying the videos please subscribe click that like button we'd love to have you keep coming back thank you very much and we'll see you again real soon
