Does This Shower Drain Hair Catcher Actually Work?

hey folks that fix it guy here are you sick of pulling things out of your drain that look like this well i got a little product here today that is going to help solve hair going down your drain in a big way so come along let's get to fixing [Applause] this is called the shower shroom okay this is made by the guys that made the tub shroom this is stainless steel and silicone essentially it's got this silicone ring around the outside of this stainless steel then it's got this little mini kind of tub shroom inside here that's going to catch the hair it's going to allow you to pull it out and remove it now yes it does flop around if you've got kids maybe this is not an ideal scenario for you because you don't want them to be able to have access to this i mean i think i'm taking a big chance here putting this in my house my kids but all right that's how a video is supposed to start all right i wasn't supposed to end up like this it wasn't supposed to end up with me saying does anybody own one of these things because honestly after trying to put some hair down it and you know doing some testing with it it wasn't working so well and you know i just kept getting hair going underneath it it wasn't catching the way that it was supposed to and to me that's not what i'm looking for here right like i actually want to give you a product i don't want a product bash but i want to give you a product that actually is going to work and going to be functional and to me this is not it now i think they make a different style of tub shroom and i'm actually going to reach out to those guys and say hey like you guys want me to like review something else because this didn't really work out so well this is not it's not yeah it's quality it feels like it's quality it just didn't do what it was supposed to and i'll show you one thing that i think contributed to that and it's not really that great of a design in my opinion these bumps right here they're not that significant but they do set up off of the lip of that so there's no chance of this to actually ever set flush that to me is just weird it's a weird design that way i mean if you're going to build something like this maybe you need to have it to where it actually sticks down on the bottom of your floor and then only allows hair to go in through here because then i'll tell you like that just to me is not that grand and i i watched a lot of hair go down it so i know that it does okay so you can see that on the back side of that drain hair is going down in there and then whenever we lift this up you can see the hair on the bottom of this that a bigger amount was fixing to go down in there we don't want that so it's a bummer when a video doesn't work out man you put a bunch of time and effort into shooting these things and getting everything ready and researching a product and then it just doesn't work and man i actually had high hopes like for this right it would have been a good hairy catching solution for my standup shower but we'll go back to the drawing board on this if anybody has anything that they use in their shower that catches hair better or you just use one of these let me know please i'd love to hear what you got to say about it i really hope the videos are helping if you guys completely subscribe click that like button we'd love to have you keep coming back we're gonna be honest i'm not in this to sell products um and sometimes things fail all right it's real the struggle is very real thank you very much and have a good night
