Attach End Caps to Mantle Box

What happens here

Apply construction adhesive to the edges of the pre-cut wooden end caps. Carefully align and attach these end caps to the open ends of the mantle box, pressing them firmly into place. The previously applied painter's tape can be used to hold the end caps in position temporarily, aiding in alignment and providing some clamping pressure while the adhesive begins to set. Ensure a tight fit and clean edges.

Goal: Close off the ends of the mantle box for a finished look.
