What happens here
This video details the process of managing concrete and metal debris from a pool demolition. It covers preparing and sizing the debris, collecting and staging it with a skid steer, loading, transporting, and disposing of it using a dump truck, and finally, backfilling the excavation with fresh soil using the same skid steer.

(4,883 characters)all right so next step obviously you know uh we have three different piles of three different materials uh we have our concrete metal and then our demo so concrete is obviously concrete metals obviously the metal and demo is obviously everything else so we're doing concrete first and i'm gonna go through and kind of prep this so we gotta cut all these off cut the metal off because you leave that stuff in there you know really sticking out and stuff like that that turns into a demo load and those demo loads are a lot more expensive let me tell you what so we got our handy dandy sawzall i really like this fuel line of milwaukee's stuff here's why especially this sawzall for those of you that don't know you know there's a four different settings on there you can cycle through them with that button and how do i want to explain this and have it make sense the different settings on there are set to cut different material so say you're say you're cutting metal you can set it so that the blade starts off slower and then speeds up and all sorts of kind of neat stuff like that so i find myself using that quite a bit [Applause] [Music] we hit more concrete boys [Music] right all right all right all right all right [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh you can still see the old lettering underneath because it was brand new paint one that was put on probably able to shine that cab out pretty good with some heard we're at a critical point yeah can i see it let's go check it out hey don't leave without me because i want to ride with you know and the footings come back to about here and once you tear it out you know it's kind of a sandy mix back there so it's not very packed down too well and as soon as you take it down it just you know and especially once you pull the footing out of there and it really takes it back and there's no footing on that garage that's a poor slab it's not connected to the house so there's nothing on the bottom either nothing we can depend on you know what's your what's your plan probably going to cut this metal down at the bottom there cut it at the tops here wait for him to get that load and then i'm going to have some dirt kind of stockpiled down in there i'll rip this off if i need to pile that dirt up quick to build it up bank it up i will so okay looks like you got all the nasty stuff out yeah so far yeah that's the muck pile that's the muck pile yep how's the stuff packing up down here something a little bit that's why hopefully getting some drier stuff today will help with that tailings are packing up all right but you can't put any more of those in here anymore okay yeah that is pretty close if it wasn't sandy soil we could get away with it but being being so sandy with no footings under that garage it's better to be safe than sorry but look at this the driveway goes right into their garage you know what they need is they need a drain box right there i bet their garage floods like all the time but if we looked inside that garage that flat floor is going to be busted up to pieces it is i mean you can see the cracks coming out onto the apron there those go right into there we're good back in the day we used to have to take these trucks and put the back tires not those those over right up to the edge and then dump so that they could get got to open your gate johnny so we'd have to stick those back the back over the edge so that all the concrete would go down sharpens your skills pretty fast all right this is that spot where we gotta be a little careful because they'll never grow grass hey you don't have to compact too much right here alex at this elevation [Music] kind of a sad day you guys um claw's gone and another one as well another crawl i technically can't keep caw inside but i have an area that's fenced in right there and the fence goes out on both sides so no dogs animals critters can come in except it's open on the top and i felt comfortable keeping call out there but not technically in captivity couldn't be kept in an enclosure except i think a hawk came in and got caught and a second crow because i found another one out here you can see the feathers and other parts so it had to be a hawk came in and just you know did what mother nature does it's just a sad day though when it becomes part of your life here's another feather from a second one i found hmm i looked down and i see a mess it's been tore apart i don't think the dog did it and then all of a sudden there's call the crow hmm i wonder who tore my plant apart caw get back to your hoop get caught get i'm gonna come down and move ya if you don't go back i'm coming down for you get back there car thing listens like my one of my kids get caught get get over there go back to your hoop you don't listen for nothing do you hmm what are you doing you're just gonna sit on my radio and crap all over it hmm good for you
