Rocky Mountain Race Week Preparation: 10 Bolt Posi Install + EBC Brakes Upgrade! (Uncle Rob Yukon)

What happens here

The presenter positions a new differential bearing onto the differential unit. He then uses a red shop press to apply force, pushing the bearing down onto the unit. He notes that the bearings were slightly heated prior to this step to aid installation. He encounters some initial difficulty with alignment, commenting that it's coming down crooked, and jokes about the integrity of the bearing. He emphasizes that for a less powerful vehicle, this method might be sufficient.

Goal: Install new bearings onto the limited-slip differential unit.

Tools and materials

  • Limited-Slip Differential Unit — The component receiving the new bearings
  • New Bearings Summit Racing — The components being installed
  • Shop Press — Applying force to press bearings onto the differential unit
