Paver Patio [EPIC DESIGN] - Vlog 7

What happens here

After the cable railing posts are installed, screed pipes are laid directly on the compacted gravel base. A screed bar is then used to level the 3/8-inch chip stone setting bed. The goal is to achieve a uniform 2-inch depth for the chip stone layer below the paver surface, ensuring the finished pavers are approximately 1/4 inch higher than the border. This precise leveling is critical for a smooth and stable paver installation. The team works in sections, moving the screed pipes and re-screeding as they progress.

Goal: Create a perfectly level and consistent bed for the pavers.
