PAVER PATIO BASE PREP - Open Graded Base Installation
What happens here
A dump truck delivers a large pile of 3/4 inch clean stone (gravel) to the driveway. Then, use the skid steer to transport and spread an initial layer of this gravel over the compacted soil base in the patio area. Ensure the gravel is distributed as evenly as possible using the skid steer and rakes. Compacting the gravel base helps create a solid and permeable layer for drainage. The video shows the dump truck unloading the gravel and then the skid steer moving and spreading it.
Goal: Establish a stable, well-draining gravel base.
