Painting Aluminum Windows & Doors. Spraying Metal Windows. HOW TO PAINT METAL

Here's a look at what the windows look like in the very beginning. They're extremely dirty. Got cobwebs on them all around. They're a teal green window. And we're actually going to power wash them first to get all this dirt and grime off them so we can see what we're sanding. And then we're going to begin the sanding process. Start the prep process of prepping these windows. I'm going to we're going to power wash them and then we're going to sand them and then power wash them. So, we're going to go through the power washing process right now. Got Jake here is going to be power washing. The sanding is going to start off with a allpurpose 3M sanding sponge, a medium sanding sponge, and it's just a square sanding sponge. Makes sanding fast and easy on these windows. Here's a set of the windows, the green windows that we've actually gone and sanded. We first power washed them, got them really clean, and then we used medium 3M sanding sponges, and then once we've sanded them, we power washed them again with a power washer to get them really clean again. Now, we're going to start the masking process and priming process. We're going to be painting with DTM primer and priming with a DTM bonding primer. Got a 440 setup with the DTM bonding primer right here. We're priming with DTM bonding primer using a Rack X 210 tip and the pressure set really low on the 440. Hey, and we're actually masking off the windows right now. and we're spraying them with DTM bonding primer and then we're going to be painting them tricorn black. We've used 9 in paper with 1 in 2020 tape and then 72in 3M masking film and we've masked off up against the rubber and then we've sprayed them with the bonding primer first. We've actually gone and sanded the windows, power washed them. So, we're in the process of priming these windows with DTM bonding primer using a Rackex 310 tip and priming these windows right here. We've already power washed them, sanded them, and power washed them. Thank you for holding. Mory, have you helped? We got the sprayer. It's We're using a 440 set at very low pressure so we don't get a lot of overspray with this primer everywhere. So, it's on low pressure with a 310 tip. We're also using a 10 210 tip on some areas that's a little bit narrower. Heat. I just sprayed the windows. Now, while the windows are still wet, we're going to be pulling off the masking so we don't get any bridging. Just sprayed them about 1 minute ago. They're still wet.
