Old Tractor Problems! Was this my Fault? New Farm Hand Today?

What happens here

After the fuel shut-off valve is thoroughly cleaned, it is carefully screwed back into its position at the bottom of the fuel tank. To further ensure cleanliness, Brian pours a small amount of fresh diesel fuel into the tank, allowing it to 'rinse' through the newly cleaned valve and out the disconnected fuel line into a small container. This helps flush any remaining minute particles. Once the rinsing is complete, the fuel line is reconnected to the valve.

Goal: Reassemble the fuel valve and flush residual debris

Tools and materials
