Fix a Yellow John Deere seat in minutes! Here's how!

folks today on the Stony Ridge Farm Channel we're going to show you how to take a crusty old John Deere seed and make it look new again hope you enjoy hey everybody this is Josh welcome back to a quick tips video here on the Stony Ridge Farm Channel I'm going to show you guys how to clean a crusty old John Deere seat this is a John Deere 5065 and I've got a John Deere 5065 we're at my friend Tony's house and this seat has some mildew and mold issues that need to be handled mine is even worse on Tony's tractor here we're going to try two different products that I know work to clean the seat and make it look like brand new and this is an inherent problem with the John Deere tractor seat I'll tell you everybody that has a John Deere yellow tractor seat has this issu here's what we have guys this is called Deep green deep Green Cleaner As Seen On TV none of this is sponsored by the way these quick tip videos should not be sponsored they should be real right this is called mildew stained remover I researched both these products and this is called Magic Eraser okay so I have magic eraser mildew stained remover and deep green first thing we're going to try is deep green deep green supposedly is able to clean most any surface basically a painted surface uh upholstery carpet anything in everything used for extreme stains it says that it is water-based leaves no residue safe and odorless I am going to wear gloves because I don't know what it's going to do to my skin especially if I get this me do stained remover this is pretty harsh stuff remove stains caution eye and skin irritant on there this doesn't say that just says eco-friendly non-toxic odorless and safe let's define this seat versus the seat on my John Deere 5065 this one has some cracks in it this is a little dry rotted right here this one has set out in the weather a little bit more my tractor has a canopy over top which keeps all the weather off so this is maybe not going to be a full good representation but we're going to give it a try let's go ahead we're just going to take our rag at first deep green looks like that I think you can mix it up in water in a spray bottle also but for what we're going to do we're just going to get a little dab we're just going to try a little spot here deep green that's what it is it's $24.95 currently on Amazon I'll post links to both of these products when we get done here now I'm gonna give it just a good scrub right here and see what we get oh man look at the side right there it's really coming out nice let's get another little dollop of Daisy right there what we're trying to do is get these mildew stains out that's the that's the goal the mildew stains okay graub a little bit on that mildew stain okay we can see it brings it back that's the before that's the after let's try it with the Magic Eraser okay we're going to put the Magic Eraser right here on the back of the okay no Magic Eraser Magic Eraser so let's see what the chemicals will do all right I've already tried this on a little spot on my tractor and I also tried this on some vinyl siding cuz I was just curious what it'll do we're going to soak her down see this thing starting to run look it's already running down the mildew is running off now starbite mildew stain remover supposedly works like first Rags really it's not doing much it's coming off that's what we really want to get is that mildew H I can see that it's lightened for sure especially right in there however I think we need to get the Magic Eraser along with starbrite that's with a rag that's with the Magic Eraser this stuff eats Magic Eraser just so you know buy a 10 pack I'm going to finish cleaning this with the Magic Eraser and the mildew stain remover from starbrite I think that's going to be the ticket I really really wanted the Deep green to work we're going to try it on a worse seat here in just a minute I'm going to finish this up and we're going to head back over to my farm that looks fantastic there is your after that's seat number one let's try seat number two so far eco-friendly is a so you see my tractor versus Tony's tractor my neighbor's tractor doesn't have a loader on it and doesn't have a backhoe on it but my seat is in much worse condition check that out that is nasty now I tested both products out on this seat just to see what they would do uh this was Magic Eraser with the mildew remover and this was the eco-friendly eco-friendly feels a little different um but I'm not sure I don't even think we need to try the eco-friendly again I think we're going to have the solution so you're going to get a time lapse of me scrubbing this seat clean I think a rag first is the best way to do this I got to go feed the cows it looks way better I'm letting it soaked for just a minute I'll be right back well there you have it this starbrite mildew stain remover will take the stains off of a John Deere tractor seat that is about 99% better there are a few little spots here that it didn't clean I think it made a lot of difference by just spraying it on there and leaving it alone for for a little bit I'm probably going to do one more coat but that's seeking a way to clean it the right way and I think this is the way to do it guys I call John Deere by the way and this seat is 3 to 600 bucks depending on the model no way this is 20 bucks something
