Old Tractor Problems! Was this my Fault? New Farm Hand Today?

What happens here

To safely access and remove the fuel shut-off valve, the fuel needs to be drained from the tank. The owner uses a 'Perfect Siphon' (a clear hose with a built-in check valve) to extract diesel fuel from the tractor's tank. By shaking the siphon vigorously, the check valve activates, initiating the flow of fuel into a yellow fuel jug. Approximately 3 gallons of fuel are drained to prevent spills when the valve is later removed. A bucket is also placed underneath the fuel line connection to catch any drips.

Goal: Safely remove fuel before valve access
