Insulate and Support PEX Tubing

What happens here

To protect the new PEX tubing and help maintain water temperature, foam pipe insulation is installed over the entire length of the PEX line. This insulation is flexible and can be easily slid over the pipe. For long-term stability and to prevent sagging, the insulated PEX pipe is then secured to the wooden headers using plastic pipe straps, placed approximately every two feet. Screws are used to attach the straps to the wood.
