Office Closet Makeover

What happens here

Measure the desired height for the top track, typically 84.5 inches from the floor for standard Elfa systems. Mark a level line across the back wall of the closet at this height. Hold the top track against the wall, aligning it with your marks. Using a drill, pre-drill pilot holes through the top track and into each marked stud location. Once pilot holes are drilled, secure the top track using heavy-duty screws, ensuring it is level and firmly attached to the studs. For areas without studs, use wall anchors suitable for the wall type.

Goal: Measure and mark the precise placement for the horizontal top track. Pre-drill pilot holes at each marked stud location through the top track, then securely fasten the track to the wall using appropriate screws.

space I am now ready to set up a solid base here and to do so I'm using a stud finder to find all the studs that in this closet space and then clearly mark them with blue painters tape then I use at the track that comes with the system but the track already has pre-drilled holes and some of them will line up to your studs and some will not the ones that don't you can use the drywall anchor screws that comes with the system the option that I decided to go with is pre-drill my own existing holes that way everything is set up and hooked up to the studs of the wall having a far stronger foundation once the track is up
