Newell Coach Air System Leaks: Installing New Compressor Governor

What happens here

After removing the old governor, inspect the gasket surface on the engine block. The old gasket may be brittle or partially stuck. Use a scraper to thoroughly clean the surface, removing all remnants of the old gasket material. This ensures a smooth and clean mating surface for the new governor, which is critical for preventing future leaks. Once cleaned, transfer the existing fittings and plugs from the old governor to the new Bendix unit, ensuring they are installed in the correct positions.

Goal: Ensure a clean mounting surface and properly prepare the new governor for installation.
