Newell Coach Air Leak Hunt! Finding All Kinds of Surprises...

What happens here

After a 25-minute search (mostly off-camera due to tight spaces and the camera being outside), the creator successfully locates the air leak. He identifies it as a push-lock fitting on the back side of an air tank that is built directly into the RV's frame. He states that he had to contort himself to reach it, using a drive shaft for support. He also briefly shows the worn airbags and other components underneath the RV, noting that replacement is needed.

Goal: Identify the exact source of the air leak

Tools and materials

  • Air Tank — Component with the leaking fitting
  • Flashlight — Illuminating the dark underside of the RV

there too so i was under there for about 25 minutes and i found it i freaking found it and it all makes sense i know you're wondering why didn't we see you find it well i forgot the gopro out here and it was so contorted wrapped up under there that it was like i was like on the trail and i didn't [ __ ] me out to go get the camera because i was literally like holding myself up with my drive with my one arm or the drive shaft like twisted between this thing and everything with this light and it ended up being um right on the back side of here there's a tank that's like built into the frame and it has a fitting in it and it's a push lock fitting that's leaking so everything i've read on the forums about guys saying freaking screw push lock fittings manufacturers use them because they're cheaper every time i get one of those it's always that thing that leaks and i replace it with a compression fitting so that's what i'm going to do i have probably have dirt all over my face i'm not even totally aware of how dirty i might be um but i'm not trying i'm not trying to i'm trying not to touch my face but i'm pumped that's huge like huge victory huge that's the hardest part with with the these things and you know my escalade any like high highly technical kind of race car or something like this anything with lots of systems you get a problem that's just plaguing you and you don't know what it is that's the worst part the worst part is just trying to figure out what the heck the problem is because once you know what it is you can fix it because there's so much information on out there on basically anything that there's a path to resolution once you know what you're dealing with that right there was the hardest part i'll show you guys what i'm talking about now so there's numerous tanks under here like the one that's leaking is the one back there that you can't even really see that fitting right there that's the one that's leaking but we got a tank here that's a tank too it looks like a piece of the frame but it's actually a tank and there's another one back there too so there's a lot of stuff going on under here as you can see i got it um grabbed it's on jack stands at a nice thick point of the frame on both sides this is just a serious beef under here see that's what i'm talking about i didn't want to get under that because that's instant squish at least if it for some reason started to go down on me here i could like move and that's um my airbags…
