What happens here
Spread a 1-inch layer of screeding sand (also known as bedding sand or concrete sand) over the compacted gravel base. Using screed rails and a straightedge, level the sand precisely, maintaining the desired slope for drainage. Do not walk on the screeded sand. This layer provides a perfectly flat and uniform surface for laying the pavers. Repeat this process for each section of the patio, ensuring consistency in depth and slope.
Goal: Establish a smooth, level, and consistently sloped bedding layer for paver installation.
