MASKING BEFORE PAINTING TIPS. What To Mask With Painters Tape and a Handmasker. Interior masking.

What happens here

Once the trim is taped, use the hand masker with 9-inch paper and 1-inch painter's masking tape (not the expensive FrogTape, as bleed-through isn't an issue here) to extend protection. Run the paper along the baseboards, attaching it to the previously applied tape to prevent roller splatter from reaching the carpet. Similarly, use the hand masker to cover window blinds and window sills, pulling out sections of tape and paper and pressing them down to ensure full coverage and protection from overhead painting.

Goal: After taping the edges, use a hand masker with paper to cover larger areas like baseboards and window blinds, protecting them from paint splatters.
