In this video, I'm going be prepping a house right here, getting ready to paint it tomorrow, and we're doing some of the coauling and prepping on this house, and I'm going to show you some of the steps we go to prepping a house to get it ready to paint. I'm going to show you what we coaul and what we sand and some of the things we actually prime. So, stay tuned to the video on how to prep a house. So, you can see I'm in this entryway right now. One of the things we do coaul on the entryway, we coaul any the trim boards on the entryway cuz we want it to look really nice, neat, and tidy. And on the house, cocking all the nail heads on the house, as you can see right here, this type of cocking on the entryway is purely for looks, but it does keep bugs out of all these cracks and stuff that we've got cocked here. [Music] Okay, we got Sean over here. He's actually sanding the door jambs with a painter. And then after that, we're going to coaul the door jambs, let the cocking dry, and then we're going to prime them with a peel bond primer. You can't have to be a star, Sean. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] If you run into any loose nails, you definitely want to hammer in any loose nails or any protruding nails on the surface. We always the back side of the fascia. [Music] We had some new trim on here that was installed. So, you definitely want to the nail heads on the new trim. got some nail heads on these corner boards that we want to If any of you are out there have a Pinterest account or Instagram account, don't forget to go find me by searching the Idaho Painter. You can find me and follow me on Pinterest and Instagram. We always these set vents up here. A lot of times these things are just stapled in and over time they'll begin to fall out. And if you them, it'll keep them from falling out. Okay. He's fighting on the bushes. Would you rather um every time that you sneeze? No. What kind of animal are you? A frog. A frog. It also makes him look a lot nicer by being coughed once it's painted. We always the vinyl windows where they actually meet the tram. If there's any electrical outlets, I do like to around the electrical outlets. Also also going to be cocking the door jambs right here. Anywhere where you have bare bare wood, you want to use a primer. And we're using a peel bond primer on all the bare wood on this house. Anywhere where we've had to do any sanding, we're priming it. [Music] I like the prime on top of all the door jambs and on top of all the windows also. [Music] got some door jambs with a lot of peeling paint on them that we sanded here. And I'm putting some primer on these also. Anywhere where there's any blistering in the sighting, we're actually using our primer, peel bond primer to actually prime the blistering so it'll stop and seal the blistering. So, got this side of the house. It's got a lot of blistering on it. Hopefully behind me, you can see some of the cocking we've done. All the nail heads are cocked here. Got some priming on some of the batting boards, the uh trim, some of the blistering on the siding over here. This is some of what we do
