Applying the Initial Masking Strip

What happens here

Climb the stepladder and position the masking tape and paper dispenser against the junction where the wall meets the ceiling. The goal is to set the masking tape approximately 1/8 inch away from the ceiling edge to allow for a cleaner paint line, especially on rough or textured surfaces. Begin to slowly move the dispenser along the wall, applying continuous pressure to ensure the tape adheres firmly to the wall and the paper unfurls smoothly.

Goal: Apply the first continuous strip of masking along the ceiling line.
