how to mask a straight line on base board. So I take my tape, I'm gonna tack it down center where I want it, and I like to run, run some about a foot, a foot and a half, and I pull it out, pull my tape tight, and not really tight, but kind of taught, and that way I can move it back and forth and line it up exactly where I want. I like my tape about a 16th of the bench onto the base board, so that way if you step away from the wall, your line looks straight if it's even crooked a little bit on the base board. If you're onto the wall and it's slightly crooked and you step back, you'll be able to see that really easily. So keep it a 16th of the base board, bring it out, scratch it, move it, where you want it to go to keep it straight. So I'm just walking, keep it tight, and I'm lightly pressing it down, but I'll press really hard with my fingers. Once I get along the stretch, I'll run my fingers back over it, I'm gonna bend around this corner, get it tight in with my finger, and then I'll begin right there.
