What happens here
The video showcases the demolition of an old pool house structure using a Kobelco excavator. The process involves strategically collapsing the building inwards to manage debris, especially glass, and then breaking down the remaining structure for removal. The video also highlights the importance of proper permits and the challenges involved in demolition work, including the need for specialized equipment and adherence to environmental regulations.

(20,001 characters)we are live out on our job site we are going to be knocking down this small pool house we've already taken out the swimming pools and Alex is behind the controls right now and this is his first time knocking down structures like this one of the things that I'm going to tell you that knocking the house down is a lot easier than actually getting the permits to knock down the house so we're just going to walk you through as we're doing this and let you guys just tag along guys can hear me okay let me know first thing that he's gonna do is try to fold this house in like a stack of cards what he wants to do is he wants to keep as much of the broken glass inside of the structure we don't want it to flop all over the place [Music] Johnny was just saying that Timmy could take up pick a guy's wallet out of his back pocket with that machine back in the day this is our old cabelka high stand Wheels proper hi Will how you doing hope all is well love your videos thank you man really appreciate it we're gonna have some fun today we're gonna have uh just knocking down this structure I'm gonna just kind of talk you guys through some of the stuff that goes on one of the things that uh you guys don't know about is the fact that uh it's tougher to get the permits than it is to actually demo the house let's see what they're talking about right now and I'll walk you through that those windows to fold in and take the whole roof and just start folding everything in so just maybe push up push these in and then maybe see if that beam will snap and then you got the other beam back there yeah no frame but you can start folding it in and then it gives yourself approved to get out of the Johnny what were you saying about Timmy oh Timmy used to be able to take this thing and reach into somebody's uh back pocket and pull out their wallet it was one of the 10 best operators in the state back in the day yup now he just sucks hahaha [Music] how are you guys doing I hope you guys are enjoying your day I call this equipment therapy well our jobs suck our jobs are hard I'll be straight with you guys [Music] best operator this side of the Mississippi what's up from New York hi perowski Landscaping call Steve thanks for coming so here in Minnesota you guys watching from Davenport glad to have you hey here in Minnesota you guys we've got to go through so much red tape to be able to uh take a structure like this down we've got to get asbestos testing done we've got to not just have the utilities shut off but we've got to actually disconnect them easy money there you go hello from Iowa hello back to you you're getting a bobcat s59 Greg's going awesome get some where are the World of Concrete videos last time I checked World of Concrete hasn't started yet the whole structure is moving we'll get back a little bit so you guys can see this I love the sound of crunching look at Alex is smiling like a monkey eating crap on a frost in the morning what's up let's walk up close here [Music] things you guys is houses are really strong like if I could perfectly balance this I could put the excavator on that house and lift it right off the ground but as soon as I give her a little love tap from the side she drops like a deck of cards hello from beautiful Buckeye Arizona hello back to you Shakopee digs dirt monkey I dig you too man I thank you too thank you guys I hope you guys enjoy this hey if you guys want to see more live demos [Music] You Gotta Give me a thumbs up you gotta do give me a comment tell me if you like this stuff and don't worry you guys I've got a regular video being recorded there hey Stan watch from northern Minnesota looks fun it is fun dude this is called equipment therapy you guys equipment therapy it's when your day gets so stressful just need to hop in a piece of equipment and relax so I'm gonna I'm just gonna aim this right at this job and hopefully you guys can see everything the same way I can hopefully you guys can still hear me [Music] how you doing buddy Andy how are you my friend cheers from California Daryl cheers back to you about Dan I got you I see ya Shane I see ya I see a Sizzler Georgie bar greetings from Hungary greetings back to you my friend greetings back to you just got done hauling asphalt we can hear you awesome glad you can hear me thank you for that watching while running my cat yes so cool you dudes Florida I see ya Sunny mofo Central Wisconsin Wells Property Service is it a barn or a home it's like a pool house getting tore down John Thompson hello from Manitoba hello back to you hello from Iowa Bill Douglas hi from Ireland Fearless Fox love the sound of that crunching John I got your heart back to you man hi from the UK hi back to you Peter hi back to you will from Ohio let's walk around to the side fly down here oh Timmy's coaching them look at that Timmy can't help but get in there you wouldn't have to ask Timmy twice to crawl up in there but he do it in a heartbeat this this right here is about the only fun part of our job yeah sometimes it can be depends on if it's a bunch of blown in insulation and it's 100 degrees out you got the doors open because there's no air or you can close the door and it'll be 120 degrees yeah it can be fun so uh what one time I was in this machine digging the basement in Minneapolis and it was about a hundred and you know whatever but I was down in the bottom of the whole zero air or windy down there yeah yeah no wind right so bad in the bottom of the hole and then the machine was overheating and I had to flip that up to get the air to flow through it I think I mean you talked about not being able to breathe out of the bottom of the hole yeah for Rochelle hello back to you my friend too bad huh oh just told him to go through the middle and Jake openings on the side can't wait till it goes the other way you're not you're not setting them up to failure no not at all man I was I'm just kind of going too close and there's a house there's house five feet away on every side of it you're trying to keep it on there that's like a good way of looking at it oh yeah yeah what Tim's talking about is keeping those cylinders in there right there the hydraulic cylinders if he hits that he scrapes it on any of the demo debris you can actually put a dent in the cylinder and that'll leak hydraulic fluid because the seat was the first time he extends it or drinks it in fact getting her over he's getting it over it'll start that cylinder will rupture the seal siren oh not bad you guys look at that he's keeping it all right on the platform this is a perfect practice round you guys perfect practice route you know it's just let the guy get in there nothing on the side to worry about yeah you know it helps him feel confident in what he's doing and it helps us to know that later on he could go down there why the heck don't you do lives more often I don't know man I I don't know why I don't do lives more often I just I've done one in like seven years I don't know you guys want lives you got to tell me more lives I mean we can do it live riding with Johnny in the dump truck we could do a live I'll do an all sorts of things we can do a live looking for wasps right now because there was a bunch of wasp nests all throughout here look at he's even got the back wall coming down onto the thing we want lives I love it dried in Michigan more lives all right I will do that Charles I will do it he's got to grab this get her down over here Johnny wants a light bulb go figure actually that is a good point uh when we're doing a demo like this we have to bait we have to have a licensed uh mate contractor Pest Removal contractor I gotta switch hands uh a bank contract to go through and bathe the entire property because in Saint Paul Minneapolis they don't want all the mice and rats jumping out of the house we're demolishing and into the neighbor's houses that one kind of makes sense but we've also got to go through and remove all the fluorescent light bulbs we've got to remove all the paint cans all hazardous materials then we've got to actually have that checked off like I said there's more that goes into the permit than into doing this part this is the play buttons keep the floor intact the best he can because then everything sit on top of that floor yeah and then once it goes through then you got bigger mess to clean up tell hey tell them about the time you went through oh wait wait let me let me throw three we were doing a big demo in Minneapolis knocking down a lot of houses yeah pretty common to just knock a house down this one was uh partially burnt down so when you go to a taller structure and you got houses you know five to ten feet on either side of you you can only go up the middle of the house you don't have room to get through it claps everything in on itself so what you got to do is come from the middle and chop through the basement floor and make yourself a pile on there so you got something to climb and sit on with the excavator and you got to slap the pile everything down into the basement it's a trick there's a method to his Madness okay go for it but this one has a partially burned down house so you got to be careful where your grab stuff or it can fall on the other house you don't know what's holding what up I were doing that and I had to reach a little bit farther I thought I had the the floor I thought it was punched through enough but it wasn't so I had a pile sitting on a void but what happened is I climbed the excavator on I reached way up to grab the peak and all of a sudden my whole front end the cabs open and everything and the front just started dropping right in well there's a bunch of boards with nails everything's sticking up and I didn't have time to fail so all I could think to do is just drop that bucket straight down as fast as I could so I dropped it and all of a sudden it went and the boards where I I did like like a quart or so away so that would have been a bad day how many times have you think you've almost died doing construction work you don't even care I remember when I was driving and I had a customer that totally just he was a man a butthole right I don't know if I can say that but oops uh anyway he's yelling at me on the phone over a job I did and I'm driving my old white dump truck my 1976 bike and I'm not paying attention to the road as much as I should be and if she's fully loaded and as I'm going around this corner the truck starts to lift it up and I look out my window and truck is on two Fields going around the corner and I look out my other window my driver's side window and dirt is falling out of the top of the truck out of the road and then she just kind of goes around the corner and lays right back down and keeps right now going and I was just like this guy's a lot more dying over it was like a thirteen thousand dollar bill or something and it was just like this guy's not worth dying you don't know what's going to happen and you're just where you take an excavator down an icy Hill into a pond lucky the pond was frozen thick enough remember at uh Delano job we did remember that excavator uh rolled off the trailer okay so now this was that was the beginning of the beginning of it so that almost crushed the lady so anyway that thing got back from the shop got brought back out it's a horseshoe driveway well the guy dropping off the excavator climbed it up besides it hasn't been plowed all winter and it was the icy tracks on a hard pack you know about five inches of ice they don't do much they're like a big set of skis so in the middle this horseshoe is a big huge hill going down to a pond so he ended up getting lucky and he slid into at the top side slid into some pine trees and he came around to the back where I was working with another excavator he's like I'm in trouble can you come up and maybe get this excavator off this driveway I'm like yeah sure so I go to reach out nice and easy pulling myself off the trees and slid right on the on the bond ice like okay I didn't go through and I figured out I kind of walked myself sideways and got myself out of there because I didn't know how the heck I think that was the last winter demo job we decided to do yeah that was it yeah it was no fun you know beating the ground for days and then you can chop through it and then you gotta you know yeah we used to do we used to work year round running legs equipment and the part of the challenge was John oh okay I didn't catch the beginning oh okay sounds like a fun ride yeah um what was I talking about oh uh went to work we used to we used to do the demo year-round big basements year round Minnesota we had nine foot across in one basement we did we had four basements to dig do you remember that yeah where was that I'm testing them I'm testing them St Paul Minneapolis yep it was in Saint Paul wow I remember that because he had we had a rubber tired backhoe out there at the time yeah on a hill okay yeah and we're gonna use that to help speed things up and I went to drive up the hill and I'll spend them on two wheels had to drop drop everything down because it's not a good place to have a backhoe on that site that was a bad deal and then on top of that we'd get snow and then we'd go out and snow plowing there and you haven't slept in a a day and you're trying to dig chopped through Frost there's always uh yeah always something going on always something going on always some fun but now what he's got to do is not just he's got he's got it down right now he's oh he's got it crunching up you guys so he's got to take that into big fat trucks let's go around and see how close he is taking off yep where are you going little pavers a lot I gotta go give them some money for materials all right and I don't know I guess they can stick around and get it if you want me stick around oh yeah whatever I don't care for sure if you got more cool stories well wait let's find out hey you guys want to hear any more Tim's stories nope nobody's commenting us all right later Tim wait wait wait Stan do you have an email or answer for a question yes yes yes Josh is saying yes madcapsing us Wills Shane saying yes Paul's saying more to him more yes all right lawnmower tour oh all right well we'll see if we get get Tim to stick around a little bit um so the roof got away from him but he's not done yet you guys so uh he's got actually at this point he's got it down which is cool and great that nothing got hurt and everything is kind of weird you know it's fairly neat fairly well in the pile a little loose right here yeah we're gonna be a little picky because some of the spots we demo this is where another house is and this is his practice well you can see all the Wasps flying out they're torqued their houses gone hey hey what do you guys think of Alex's demo job so far remember he's got big arms and a short temper so I'd be kind you should have heard him man what like oh you should have seen I go you don't want to see some of the comments and he goes oh five drops out he goes tell him the address to the site tell him you know the best part about this is every single one of Alex's friends Works in landscaping and they give him so much crap because they see the videos I get it the tiniest little mistake I hear about it for months and months and months because we're we're so freaking perfect I mean apparently my shorts are too long apparently his capris yeah yeah you know that is a legitimate comment we've got in this Tim's yeah Jim shorts are too long I made the comment to him too I'm like gosh Jim it's like you're wearing degrees out here on the sites and then I've seen that one coming gosh Tim just has way too big of shorts on right now I think I said something so you know what he did so Alex screenshots that one comment against him and sadly too but this is a can of worms that Tim opened up years ago because back before we were ever business partners and Tim was running a job just like Alex is running Timmy called me up I I jumped the excavator off the side of the bank and I'm like oh crap and he'd wait like two three minutes and just let it sink in and stir and he's like nah I'm fine so now we got Alex train to do the exact same thing to Tim all the time every job so far stupid questions get stupid answers don't does Alex hit the gym as well as as the work Look Out Below when are you going to be doing videos like like Victory I'm doing my own videos Victory does his he does it so he hit the gym every day Alex every day like at four he's like 5 a.m Alex is like a grandpa he is like a 80 year old man that came from the country he really is like you ask him what his favorite uh radio station is it's Bob FM Bob FM classic country he loves the old classic country so are you done working or what's the deal oh uh I thought the comments were saying they wanted to see Tim hop in there for a little bit and play I thought I want to see how he crushes it out but okay I won't do it no different than you I just want to see your strategy and tactics because I I'm a better learner when I'm watching you're a better learner when you watch yeah seriously yeah like if you were to tell me what to do I would have a tough time but if I watch you do it then I can recreate what you did but what if you did it like that's the way I learn is by doing it like I maybe have someone give me a little bit of Sensitivity I actually to physically do it is how I learned I weigh through a lot of times but some things that I just like a little bit of professional experience and knowledge and wisdom let's watch him and see how he does it it's gonna give us way more intuition when I'm in the machine next Yeah Tim is smooth you guys he makes running an excavator I know I get in there as far as I'm concerned Tim was he probably still is but he was one of the ten dollars I don't even know you know you got these guys to come up they take them off down below so all you got to do is knocked this what we do is we've got to dig step footing so he would carve a step footing out raise it up eight inches carve another step footing out raise it up Aiden he'd have all these step footings out there what was that Amish guy I missed that dude I missed that what were you saying say it again I read your comment but I missed it during his path up to where he's gonna set the machine Ken's gonna need some sort and by looks Alex grease did lots left Focus let's laugh how can we message you uh you can message me on my email but that's listed on my YouTube channel I don't I don't do a lot of messaging you guys I just don't do it when's that baby Ox video coming out did I beat you okay the baby Ox video just got edited this morning it's coming out September 28th that was uh talking about that wheel power that uh wheelbarrow oh yeah how do you like that oh shoot more live all right Robert you got it buddy always good to see you in the comments too by the way my friend Tim reminds me of Wreck-It Ralph we need more dirt monkey oh my God you guys got enough of me you don't need more of me how many acres you got at home 144 Acres up north and eight in the city and when my wife realized she married a country boy and she wanted to stay in the city you found eight Acres because I needed a place to walk off the middle of the afternoon and take a pimp and I still do it today cheers from Finland cheers to you hit the like button hey thank you yeah hit that like button what do you thinking do little trailers I know nothing about you little trailers what's going on in the pool house is Place love the dirt monkey and family thank you Jay thank you what's going on in the Full House place I don't know if you're actually even talking about why no John Deere sick because I had too many John Deere skins John Deere skids and New Holland skids used to be the worst any new equipment in the pipeline we actually bought a new excavator nobody's seen it yet yeah the Bobcat we bought a used excavator Nobody seen…
