what happened i took a picture of the rear axle okay so he's got a flat tire johnny you got a bad tire oh crap okay oh right time for plan b johnny's trying to be as thrifty as possible he's like we got 200 000 more miles we could put on that tire that's true it's not true johnny we got two new tires coming it ain't worth it ain't worth risking it i don't want you going down the road like that dude so if i drive slow and i keep the flat side on the top side it rolls down the road just fine it's not flat besides it's only flat on the bottom right yeah but if you keep the flat side on the top so i'm going to john i'm going to finish loading you up over here lh uh i think the plan will be i'm gonna finish loading you up and then i'll have you switch to the other side of the street so that it can get at yeah oh nice i got a 1970 okay stan that sounds like a good plan okay john i like that plan too yeah that's brilliant stan [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah i found another bike i've got a 47 knuckle it's a basket case oh yeah and uh the guy told me give me 500 bucks for the box and you can have it it's complete well that's all i got that's why i got mine yeah and i got it back in 82. nice yeah i usually do all the work on myself and i brought it into a guy to have him uh check on it and do a service got it back it was leaking yeah so there was already like a quarter load in this truck hopefully we can fit all this concrete in here [Music] i am loading the truck even though it has a flat tire because that's not going to affect changing out the tire at all we've got a tire repair service company coming to our site we're not taking the truck to them and whether it's loaded or unloaded does not make a difference for what they gotta do next [Music] break breakdown [Music] okay that's the last of the concrete from the backyard turn the rocks put it in the front right along the edge plenty of room oh we got all this there's room for that oh yeah what's that [Music] i don't know [Music] there you go a little bit technically played by the rules so there's a couple things going on here that to handle some of that smaller material we've got to switch between the beak and the bucket the problem we have is that a lot of times when you go to switch between the beak and the bucket it doesn't want to cooperate what i mean is if you guys have run cat you guys that run cat that know this chime in here do you ever have issues with the fact that your dog ears don't want to clamp down on the bucket or worse yet release once you get clamped in because we have that happen all the time so it's a little bit like a crap chute if you go to switch attachments are you going to be able to get your beak to release and are you going to get your bucket to actually clamp in place right so to forgo to forego any of those potential issues all i'm simply doing is going up to the bucket with the beak grabbing it like it would a piece of concrete and holding it in place so instead of making a one a thirty second to one minute switch over operation i can just drive up grab and go and are you enjoying your food huh are you enjoying your goodies over there [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] some of you guys may be wondering why would you put a full load of concrete on a truck that needs to have a tire changed because it doesn't make a difference it's only flat on the bottom i think it's fine thank you so you don't want me to back down there's no point yeah good spot yeah it's fine okay thanks yeah and take a look and see if there's any any nail or anything like that when we get it off where i can check it there's the new ones johnny's getting some new meat it's the uh on this one yeah it's the valve stem yeah if while you're here check it if you can get that valve stem seated right that'd be awesome that one's that it's got it's got over 80 in it all right okay thank you sir [Music] you know i've always said there's always something happening on a job site and it does not matter if your equipment is brand new or used something that you're not expecting will probably happen and a great example is i you you guys know i don't run all new equipment i run a mishmash and that old dump truck of mine some of you guys may be saying well maybe if you had newer equipment you wouldn't have so many issues but here's what i want to tell you on this exact same job site one of my buddies uh garrett and jameson from g m outdoor services is actually the ones that are delivering all of our fill soil for this project we're working cooperatively with our competition but while they're delivering the fill soil to us which is helping out their job too by the way because they've got a project not far from us that they got to get rid of excess dirt and we have a project not far away that we need it and we're just helping each other out and while they're delivering it in their big brand new peterbilt dump truck that they just got finished building this very spring their air cleaner cap flies off goes bouncing down the road and across the median and lands in a ditch and disappears and this is a brand new peterbilt dump truck lesson learned it doesn't matter if you're on old equipment or new equipment you always got to be ready for something unexpected it's just part of our job guys hey meet jason he's one of the newest guys the team you may have seen him before then i see these guys exchange worseries they're both that so johnny served and i just found out jason served seven days shy of nine years six six tours yeah six tours three and three iraq three afghanistan thank you for your service thank you for your service i say it's a privilege because it was he got he was in a fire fight right so the story story was you were in a fire fight up on a hill and and i got hit by a piece of shrapnel from an ied yeah and almost fled today while they were shooting at you yeah and the guy had his finger up your keister to hold you together yeah keeping that blood in all right well johnny you're almost ready to go ready even with the flat tire we may be able to still wrap this one up today he's back let's find out how many more loads of free fill we can get hey how many more loads of free dirt can we get there's quite a bit okay got to be a bobcat yeah [Laughter] this one's pretty clean yeah so it's the last one yeah i noticed it's compact and really nice oh yeah this is this is really good stuff this nice wet sand elks yup all right guys you're right along with me let's go scoop some dirt i'll talk you through i suppose you guys not gonna be able to hear me so i'm actually just gonna shut up and i'll do a voice over so you guys can listen to the engine roll and let's get some work done one of the keys to compacting and making it effective is to put it into micro thin lifts you don't see me at any point just dumping a big wad of dirt out and trying to drive over the top of that i'll lay it out i'll feather it out or i'll spread it out with a bucket and then i make sure that i criss-cross all of my tracks so anywhere there's fresh dirt you'll see that i'm hitting it with my tracks so even a tracked skid loader can still compact dirt in a very efficient manner as long as you're not going too deep or piling the dirt up all in one spot and attempting to do it and that's all we got for you on this video you guys but in the next video the inspector finally shows up and he questions everything which is good i have no problem with that i love it because i have all of the answers for him god bless you guys go get em and we will see you on the next one
