What happens here
With the bed prepared and irrigation in place, proceed with the new planting plan. Dig appropriately sized holes for each new plant (shrubs, flowers, groundcover), ensuring proper spacing according to their mature size. Amend the existing soil with compost or new topsoil as needed to improve drainage and nutrient content. Carefully remove plants from their containers, loosen any circling roots, and place them in the holes, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Backfill with amended soil and water thoroughly. After planting, place decorative gray slate stone in designated areas within the bed. If desired, create a separation zone (e.g., with small edging or a landscape fabric boundary) between the stone areas and soil areas intended for annual plantings to prevent mixing and make maintenance easier.
Goal: Complete the aesthetic elements of the landscape design with plants and stone
