What happens here
Composite trim boards are used to create the decorative columns. The main face piece of the column is designed to be slightly wider than the structural build-out, creating a subtle overhang for a clean reveal. Side pieces are measured and cut. To accommodate the previously installed J-channel and soffit, a notch is cut into the top of the side column trim boards using a jigsaw. These trim pieces are then carefully aligned and screwed into the 2x4 furring strips, ensuring a tight and aesthetically pleasing fit. The finished column is checked for its appearance and alignment with the soffit and siding.
Goal: Complete the decorative column structure.
