Reinstall the Toilet

What happens here

Carefully lift the toilet and align the bolt holes in its base with the new bolts installed in the flange. Slowly and steadily lower the toilet straight down onto the wax ring and bolts. Once seated, press down firmly on the toilet bowl, applying even pressure, and give it a slight quarter-turn twist to compress the wax ring and create a tight seal. Be careful not to rock the toilet too much. Secure the toilet by placing washers and then nuts onto the bolts. Tighten the nuts alternatingly on each side with pliers or a wrench until the toilet is firm and doesn't wobble. Do not overtighten, as this can crack the toilet bowl.

Goal: Place the toilet onto the new wax ring and secure it to the floor.
