Leaking Toilet Base? Don’t Ignore This! #diy #plumbing #plumber #toilet

What happens here

Reconnect the flexible water supply line to the fill valve on the toilet tank. Hand-tighten first, then use pliers to give it a final snug turn, being careful not to overtighten. Slowly turn the water supply valve counter-clockwise to restore water flow to the toilet. Allow the tank to fill completely. Once full, flush the toilet several times and carefully inspect the base of the toilet for any signs of leakage. Also, check the connection point of the supply line for drips. Replace the decorative bolt caps.

Goal: Restore water supply to the toilet and verify the new seal is watertight.
