Begin Rendering Process with Water

What happens here

Transfer all the diced fat and prepared pork skin into a large, heavy-bottomed stockpot. Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pot, preventing the fat from scorching initially. Place the pot on a stove over high heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil. The water will help to gently render the fat at the beginning, preventing it from sticking and burning.

Goal: Place the diced fat and pork skin into a large pot with a small amount of water, and bring it to a boil to initiate the rendering process.
