KUBOTA VERSUS HAMMER...This fixed my sluggish diesel Side by Side!
What happens here
According to the Kubota RTV's owner's manual (and confirmed by the dealer), the correct way to clean the internal spark arrester is to loosen its mounting bolts (or remove them for easier cleaning) and then, while the engine is running, lightly tap the muffler with a rubber mallet. This action dislodges accumulated soot. The video demonstrates starting the engine, placing a rag to catch soot, and using a rubber mallet to tap the muffler while revving the engine. Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area and wear a mask to avoid inhaling soot.
Goal: Dislodge accumulated soot from the internal spark arrester.
