Kitchen Makeover + WATERFALL COUNTERTOPS (Ep.4)

What happens here

Large quartz slabs are carefully positioned onto the CNC cutting machine using a heavy-duty suction lifter and hoist system, capable of handling slabs weighing hundreds of pounds. The machine is programmed with the CAD file. Before cutting, the diamond saw blade is heated with a torch to loosen the Loctite, allowing for a blade change. The CNC machine then performs precise cuts, guided by laser lines, to create the individual countertop pieces, radiuses, and complex cutouts for the sink and faucet holes. Water is continuously applied during the cutting process to cool the blade and reduce dust.

Goal: Utilize a large format CNC machine to precisely cut the quartz slabs according to the digital design, including all main countertop pieces and intricate sink and faucet cutouts.

[Music] so this is the suction device that they would use to pick up these giant slabs that range between 600 and a thousand pounds they'll just press this against it'll activate the suctioning here and they'll use this hoist over to bring it on the table and set it how they need it so there's no heavy lifting oh another thing check this out this is the sink that we picked out this is the farmhouse apron sink we got it i think i like a home depot or a lowe's or something like that i think it was like around 400 bucks it's nice it's clean so why are you heating that up so it expands and can come off it's that tight on there you got a lock tight in there oh so i'm pretty much melting the lock and that's it planning out what it's going to be doing huh [Music] so that's cutting the radiuses huh how much is one of those blades i just ordered two brand new ones they're 450 of these we're going to steal something at granite shops feel it blade [Music] all right so we're going to do a little bit of polishing ourselves here we got p1 p2 and p3 they're saying that's the order that we got to go in this is a wet polisher clearly i've used this a ton so we're going to see if we're going to screw up our own countertop wish me luck i don't know if they know what i'm doing but they left me unattended so i guess i'm making my own countertops that's how they make it cheaper do it yourself all right p1 is done let's do p2 that is glass smooth that is incredible are you guys hiring i might shut this whole youtube channel thing down and just duke out and tap and it's got to be noted you guys are like recycling all of your water here so it drains down into this pit and then gets pumped back into the thing so you can recut it again [Music] this thing is kind of has its own brain so once you program it when it comes back he's the machine's just waiting on him to change the blade for the next spot so like after this was done it came back to its statings point that's indicating to him let's put a new blade on he's going to press start and it's going to finish off the rest of the job so it's kind of nice how it kind of thinks for itself it's all cut up it's incredible see this thing's done in what 45 minutes so we have our mitered edges for the waterfall on the sides we have apron sink we got even our holes cut out here's this uh faucet here is the soap and that is the air switch for the disposal it's ten feet wide four feet deep and uh we're installing tomorrow so the guys are…
