Plan the Lighting Layout and Design

Kitchen lighting 💡
What happens here
Before beginning any physical installation, thoroughly plan the placement and type of all lighting fixtures to ensure both aesthetic appeal and practical illumination. Consider where task lighting is needed (e.g., cooking area, serving counter) and where ambient lighting will enhance the atmosphere (e.g., under overhangs, along the base). Sketch out the layout, marking precise locations for each light fixture, the intended path for wiring, and the location of the power source (such as an outdoor transformer and GFCI outlet). Account for sufficient granite overhangs to accommodate under-counter lighting and ensure proper spacing for base and surface lights for even distribution.
Goal: Design a comprehensive and effective lighting scheme for the outdoor kitchen and bar.
