What happens here
To create a stable base for the flagpole, a 3-inch piece of irrigation pipe is secured vertically in the ground using approximately three bags of concrete. This outer pipe acts as a sleeve. Once the concrete is dry, a 2-inch piece of PVC pipe, which will serve as the actual flagpole, is inserted into this sleeve. The PVC pipe has a cap at its top end. The design allows the inner PVC pipe to slide in and out of the irrigation pipe, eliminating the need for a complex flag-pulling mechanism.
Goal: Set up the two-part flagpole system for easy removal and installation.
