What happens here
This project details the installation of an exterior drainage system (often referred to as a French drain) around a house foundation. The process involves excavating trenches, laying geotextile fabric, installing perforated and solid PVC pipes with proper grading for water flow, connecting various pipe sections with PVC cement, integrating downspouts, installing pop-up emitters, covering the pipes with clean stone, and compacting the base before final backfill. It also includes troubleshooting and repair of a mini skid steer's neutral safety switch, which is essential for project completion.

(12,589 characters)morning [Music] everybody I sh my love [Music] you I do you think it be cost eff to make our own probably how do you think they do it you think so man it's hard to say I don't know how they but it's but it's less material maybe it's cheaper yeah yeah they probably form it like I don't think they cut it out they form I'm looking I see one hole on one side it's got holes on both sides think go down in here oh a they're gray they're my new work shoes they're about to be brown yeah I have my boots in the truck just in case good call I got new pants Costco got it yep it's my favorite ones all right we got two different kinds of pipe here we have some perforated pipe you see right here called Sunday pipe why cuz it's holy okay we got our Sunday that's funny I like that we got our Sunday pipe here and uh we got our solid pipe so we're going to have a perforated system over here underneath the patio that's going to collect the water and then it's going to discharge it out and as it goes towards the popup emitter that's going to be solid pipe so we need a nice good bit of clean Stone all the way around that perforated pipe so that we don't have any of that dirt and clogging stuff getting into our system but uh then once we get to that solid pipe we can just back fill with dirt and that's just going to be a transportation device for that water that is collected so plus we got to hook up a couple down spouts we got a lot of stuff to do [Music] I'm going I'm predicting I'm going down in the [Applause] [Music] mud all the holes got to be facing up the same way before it's glued go how right no just uh just don't cut anything yet huh another piece of wood another piece of wood all right uh it's nice bu another full length of old one I guess uh I guess give me that cut off we'll just we'll continue this one for now get closer Catherine always accuses me of weaponized incompetence but I don't think anybody does it as much as you when it comes to anything not carpentry oh I'm terrible at just putting this little cotton ball on here making it purple and have nothing to measure oh my God I told [Laughter] you all right all right that's all over my hands it look like I ate like grapes or blueberry just 10 ft yeah cuz then we're going to we're going to dye them both into one where two become one oh they'll be tied in down I thought it was going to happen like well it's going to throw us off why cuz they're not all the same yeah it's okay I know cool it I'll do it you got anything you can do in the van yeah I found a chicken foot I heard a story on the news this morning who's after Millennials gen Z they are on the rise of chicken ownership as pets not to eat them not for for for pets not to eat them not for pets not to eat them not to take the eggs but to have them as pets like they said there's like registered like 800 some thousand chickens and they said like 12% of the chicken owners let the chickens roam free in their house that's what's up this me my name after this video what's your name I don't know oh my god oh I just got a math full of it writing and writing oh just cut in this one and put it on the end of that can't wait we could extend that one out to right into the corner and like you said cut this end off and stick it in into that end or no no it's a different end yeah does he got coupling over there got [Music] it that goes on top of that I don't know what I don't know what what's going on there with that covered this there's a coupling that me [Music] just going cut that off yeah because this will got to push over there need come up little bit mhm okay yep sounds good I think we can get all of this glued we do need to fix this though we chop that further so our sh can sit down and leave the St is that for your lawn mower tractor yeah got like Costco no those ones are good ones no they're not yeah they are all the safety you need the old school just nozzle yeah but you know I like [Music] yeah we got to see what the end is at I cut small piece the top no this is going to be flush it's not going to go up anymore no it's going to this is going to be flush with with the top right here throw some dirt in the hole Yeah if we need to we can you have to look it easy Hot Shot see we want it like right here cut we'll we'll need to cut that back that pipe so it's out of our [Music] [Applause] way just right there right there all right so we want to take uh it's not glued yet right um just stick that back in the hole yep I'm holding it it's not going anywhere I think it's all the way bottom down I think it's good yep [Music] 45 ft to here so let me see 45 / 8 = 5.6 so it's got to be roughly at plus 6 and2 all right so let's go down a little bit looks like we just need to clean up the hole a little bit okay all right and then over there we need to be at 12 at the very end yep 10 and a half 10 and a half yes 10 and a half you got those 6 and 1/2t chains this one's 13 and 3/4 that's pretty we just got to make it pretty much level with this one oh no it's got to come down an inch and a quarter that's 12 on the dot I thought you say 13 no this one's 13 and 3/4 all right looking pretty good piece of mud is stick underneath that one we'll do that when when the stone gets here yeah I pick the wrong area to walk none of it's the right area to walk brother you ever see the movie Airplane uh yeah kraar yeah the one guy who's like he's trying to quit drinking and smoking and like all this crazy stuff's going on he's like I picked the wrong day to quit smoking cigarettes and like the whole movies I pick the wrong day to quit sniffing glue like the drugs just get harder and harder I pick the wrong day to quit amphetamines all right so we just need to dig out a little bit over here check where we're at uh well go back to the beginning see see if we're still at zero we at one qu all right and then here should be about three about three beautiful three so we're pretty good so we just need uh just to dig that end there a little bit yeah all right so I guess we'll want to pull it out again that's what she said trying to be more mature me that uh that rag that's what she [Music] said but do you think I watch a lot of movies my buddy who I borrow the movies from he has seen like 10 times more than I've seen like I was getting Japanese movies from him and he's like these are these are in the Criterion Collection or whatever because they inspired modern westerns and something else last one all connected Rock and Roll Baby on to the next one well we're still here for a while we're plumbers like Mari and Luigi get one thing you have one no I said come up with enough for a I could yeah rattle a couple off remember or you can never cut something too long you can always cut something too short if you need to go right you can always make four lefts no three laps that's right if you want to go right you can always make three laps remember wherever you go that's where you are and you know what I always say at the end of the day it's the end of the day I don't know what that has to do with the price of potatoes potato potato tomato who gives a it always runs downhill enough of that we're on to the pipe and we got it in the ground and it's looking good and uh yeah time for the golf ball test remember feel like an idiot all the time finds on people to hang out with if you can't find an idiot in the group you're the idiot all right if you don't put your boots on one foot at a time you don't have two feet if they get an argument with you they won't have a leg of sand [Laughter] on if he was at the ATM machine he was probably checking his say drive it like you stole it Dad love Tony oh we got all our drain pipe in now there's only one way to test it the legit way golf ball that's it morning everybody Nick here we have our pipes laid out for our drainage these pipes have holes in them so that they can fill with water and the water will go down on its own we have this fabric down because we don't want any dirt to get in our pipes and potentially clog them up we want nice free flowing pipes so that we don't have to dig up this beautiful Pat when it gets put down we're going to put Stone directly onto this fabric but we're going to lift our pipes up to get our pitch how we like it and F tune it so that after it's pitched the way we like we can cover with stone and then more fabric then more Stone and then we'll have a nice level surface to put our papers down on what do you know we got 15 loads we got 15 Tons of stone dropped here and dingo's broken again shut down one start back up I'm up to my elbows in dingo right now but uh I think hopefully we got it figured out so uh we're troubleshooting it it's saying that it's not in neutral so there's a new neutral safety switch on here I checked the fuse the fuse was busted went to the store got a new fuse popped the new fuse in still didn't work so started taking this thing apart and look at this we've got two little two little wires here going to each side of our steering control and one of them has been broken so that's why it's saying it's not in neutral stupid safety things like really got to make sure it's in neutral before you start like come on ridiculous it's not like a car where it's like just going to like go by itself stupid anyway wouldn't be a premier Outdoor Living job without a dingo breakdown so here we are officially a real job what's this one I need this I need this it's see it's it broke off so it's it's all in the tubing there so let's let's try this thing all right so now let's just see if I so right here there's a little triangle right there little arrow when we turn this turn the ignition on should light up saying that it is in fact in neutral let me just try touching this to here turn it yeah it is there it is mechanic man ah just a couple Grease Monkeys over here freaking getting after it all right I feel somewhat accomplished all right so we need to like solder this thing or some you got soldering solder Piper you know how to solder small electronics now the neutral safety switch I don't know how to get rid of it exactly I think it's just got to go in a continuous loop I wonder if I just nah that probably wouldn't work if I just connect the yeah just need a little little uh it's like a hobby like a hobby car uh little soldering iron little gum that might work all right somebody want to jump on some Google see about some small solder iron for small electronics Nick that seems like a you thing you didn't do like hobby cars or nothing like little RC cars what Nick seems like he'd be in the little remote control cars or something bust out a little solder R and some sort of weekend meet and greet you know swap event need know $129 plug like an outlet at my house with solder you want me to go grab it do you know how to solder small stuff like this look at this I sold okay so what are you saying if you do it with this then it'll start playing music yeah oh awesome you have a radio too see this right here see this guy yeah this needs to be connected to this this thing right there little Plumbing I got solder on I think the stuffer will do that it will yeah you want me to go grab it and what do you need this this this the kit it will probably come with all that like they probably just s they probably just sell the solder iron and they probably sell a little kit with the wood burning and all the tips and they might have like a little tiny thing of flux and solder all right I'll go get that pretty pretty proud of myself for diagnosing that now I was going to take an hour to put this mother back on like got a million bolts and everything it's so hard to get to I don't know why the they make it like this you start CU your mechanic now yeah that why you're talking like that yeah [Music] she's alive back to work we got our drainage system completely buried here under our clean stone foundation so we're just bringing in stone we're fine-tuning it we're seeing what height we need to get at and uh make sure that's perfect we've also got we got ant working on this hot tub surround sure am it's going to be pretty sweet we want this to look like it's built in but we're going to get to all of these details on the next video so make sure you hit subscribe stay tuned and until next time this has been Premier Outdoor Living first one move as to clean up the job it how do you get the third one I only got two hands you don't have to go far and there's no like you know kick [Laughter] myag you do that that's considered juggling to get the three to go in a circle
