What happens here

Start by identifying the fence line and the type of fence being upgraded. The video shows an existing woven wire fence. To properly install the hot wire, you'll attach insulators to the fence posts. For metal posts, use claw insulators that screw directly into the post using self-tapping screws. For wooden posts, special claw insulators designed for wood can be used. Use a square tool to mark the desired height for the insulator on the post and a Sharpie to make a visible mark. Wear safety glasses throughout this process.

Goal: Mark and prepare fence posts for attaching hot wire insulators.
